Location
Wilderness Adventures Sweden is located in the small settlement of Sörböle in the beautiful and unique landscapes of the Ragunda Valley. Only 3 km from the river Indalsälven and 8 km to the village of Bispgården in Jämtland Sweden.

Our homestead/the Shovelhead Ranch is only 6 kilometer away from the provincial roads #86 Sundsvall-Bispgården and the #87 Östersund-Bispgården (both are so called scenic routes and you follow most of the time the Indalsälven river). We are located to be far away from traffic and to enjoy silence, relaxation and nature.

We are centrally located between the towns of Sundsvall (Västernorrland) at the Gulf of Bothnia and our capital Östersund which is close to the mountain area (fjällen) in western Jämtland.
Around 500 km above Stockholm and 600 km below the Arctic Circle. The ‘Gateway’ to the Arctic Circle, the Lofoten in Norway and only 1.5 hours from the Höga Coasts (World Heritage) and not to forget only 2.5 hours from the magnificent “Wilderness Route” with its many waterfalls and Sami culture.

But above all…Lots of sightseeing in our own direct surroundings and our National Park the “Dead Falls (Döda Fallet)”.
When you are planning to discover this part of Sweden, we would be happy to meet and greet you here!

You drive from Bispgården’s side and when crossing the river, you go straight on and you follow these road signs!
When you come from Ragunda’s side you keep right, so you don’t go over the bridge. Then you follow also these road signgs.
We wish you Happy Travels.
follow the road signs
